Photos: St. Patrick’s Day parade in St. Paul brought the luck and the wind
Many braved the wind Saturday to celebrate the 58th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown St. Paul.
Minnesota’s first St. Patrick’s Day parade was held in St. Paul in 1851 and the tradition was in full swing again this year as attendees donned green hats, shades, beards and even dinosaur costumes. The parade is traditionally held on March 17 unless it falls on a Holy Day or a Sunday.
