2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Gets Performance Upgrade Option for 0-60 MPH time of 3.3 Seconds & Other Improvements

Ford has upped the ante with the Mustang Mach-E GT, unveiling a Performance Upgrade option that promises to thrill enthusiasts. As the Chief Engineer of the Mustang Mach-E SUV explained about the Performance Upgrade option, the focus is squarely on understanding and delivering what customers truly desire. This dedication has led to several enhancements for the 2024 model, including increased performance, extended range, and more customizable options.

The highlight of the upgrade is undoubtedly the remarkable acceleration, with the Mustang Mach-E GT now boasting a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds. This places it ahead of competitors like the Tesla Model Y Performance and the Porsche Macan 4 Electric, solidifying its position as the fastest production Mustang Mach-E to date. Accompanying this performance boost is a quarter-mile time of 11.8 seconds at 114 mph, showcasing the vehicle’s impressive capabilities on the track.

Central to this enhanced performance is the innovative Powertrain Thermal Modeling and Control Algorithms, combined with a new in-house eMotor. This technological prowess results in an additional 100 lb. ft. of torque compared to vehicles without the performance upgrade, providing an exhilarating driving experience.

For enthusiasts seeking even more excitement, the Performance Upgrade is available as a one-time purchase at the time of vehicle acquisition or as an optional upgrade for $745 as a stand-alone option or $995 when bundled with optional wheels/tires. The option can also be seamlessly enabled at a later date. Additionally, popular performance features such as Ford Performance front seats, MagneRide Damping System, and Brembo branded front brake calipers are now standard on the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT, further enhancing its appeal to performance enthusiasts.

Beyond performance, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E also delivers in terms of range and charging capabilities. With available extended-range battery options, charging times have been significantly reduced, allowing drivers to charge from 10-80% in approximately 36.2 minutes for extended-range batteries and 32.3 minutes for standard-range batteries. This improvement in charging efficiency, coupled with advancements in the vehicle’s eMotor technology, has led to an increase in range across all trim levels compared to previous models.
