ROUNDUP

BASEBALL

Ryan Baker threw six frames with eight strikeouts and Cam Beltramini went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer as Whitman-Hanson defeated Patriot League opponent Duxbury 7-2.

In the Catholic Conference, senior co-captain Charlie Comella went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer, triple and four RBI as Xaverian (2-1) topped Catholic Memorial 6-4. … Liam Kinneen , Brady Lane and Jake Taylor combined for a no hitter with 11 strikeouts as BC High (2-0) routed Malden Catholic 12-1.

In nonleague play, junior Cam Carroll walked it off as Silver Lake edged Dalmouth 6-5.

Ben Cassavoy went the distance with three hits allowed and 13 Ks as Melrose upended Middlesex League opponent Winchester 5-1.

BOYS LACROSSE

In the Catholic Central League, Cooper Masso had four while Blake Masso and Dexter Izzo each had a hat trick as Bishop Feehan rolled to a 20-2 win over Bishop Fenwick.

In the Hockomock League, Eddie O’Brien (three goals, three assists) and Drew Hansen (two goals, three assists) combined to propel Franklin during a 12-5 win over rival Canton.

GIRLS LACROSSE

In the Tri-Valley League, Avery O’Connell netted six goals, while Kelly Devine netted four herself as Dover-Sherborn defeated Medway, 13-7.

Coco Clopton reached the 200 career point mark with four goals and two assists as Swampscott toppled Winthrop 16-1 in a Northeastern Conference tilt.

In nonleague action, Cece Levrault had six goals and Abby Bradley added a hat trick as Apponequet defeated Dartmouth 11-8.

SOFTBALL

In the Patriot League, Cassidy Briggs collected four hits while Kaitlyn Howard notched 10 strikeouts on the hill as Whitman-Hanson walked it off against Duxbury 4-3.

Jill Ondrick struck out 16 and hit a two-run homer as Archbishop Williams blanked St. Mary of Lynn 3-0 in the Catholic Central League.

In a nonleague tilt, Edy Latour went the distance, surrendering one run while striking out seven. She also finished 3-for-4 offensively with a home run as Dighton-Rehoboth pulled away for a 10-1 victory over Middleboro.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Branch Barnes netted 15 kills and Nic Bonavaire added 14 kills as Natick swept Brookline 3-0 in Bay State Conference action.
