The Wild on Saturday recalled goaltending prospect Jesper Wallstedt up from the American League. He’s expected to get a start or two during a five-game road trip that starts Sunday afternoon in Chicago.

Wallstedt finished his second season with the Iowa Wild with a 21-19-5 record in 43 games. He finished with a 2.76 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.

When Filip Gustavsson went down with a lower body injury in late December, Wallstedt was recalled and made his NHL debut in Dallas on Jan. 10. He stopped 27 of 34 shots in a 7-0 loss to the Stars.

Both of the Wild’s goaltenders, Gustavsson and Marc-Andre Fleury, practiced on Friday. Fleury was to start against the Jets at Xcel Energy on Saturday.

The Wild were host to the families of the three first responders murdered during a standoff in Burnsville on Feb. 18, police officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, and firefighter-paramedic, Adam Finseth. St. Paul firefighters and police accepted cash donations that were to go directly to the families.
