GIRLS LACROSSE

In the Tri-Valley League, Medfield defeated Westwood for the first time in school history, 19-9. Kelly Blake was immense with nine goals and three assists, while Alex Proefrock had three goals and three assists and teammate Kendall Herrick added two goals and three assists.

In the South Shore League, Sophia Morin and Ciara Hendricks each scored five times and Ari Andrade added two more as Mashpee defeated Abington 13-9. … Kyla Darmon, Quinn Anderson and Aubrie Schwager each had hat tricks as Sandwich (3-0) cruised to a 15-1 victory over Rockland.

BOYS LACROSSE

Cole Rodgers netted six goals as Sandwich bested Rockland, 9-2, in a South Shore league matchup. … Hunter Grafton compiled four tallies (including his 200th career goal) and eight assists as Abington toppled Mashpee 19-6.

In nonleague action, Jack Kavaleski finished with six goals and an assist while Jackson Rowell added a hat trick as Middleboro (3-0) edged Dighton-Rehoboth 12-10 thanks to a 6-0 run to end the contest.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Tighe Lusk and Jayden Pelletier had 11 and nine kills respectively as St. John’s Prep swept Catholic Conference opponent Xaverian 3-0.

Viet Tran (16 kills), Kenzel Lantano (30 assists), and Long Pham (6 aces) helped fuel a Lynn Classical win over Lynn English, 3-0, in a Greater Boston league matchup.

FOOTBALL

The 46th Annual Shriners All-Star Football Classic will be played at Bentley University on Friday, June 14 with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.. The teams were selected from over 150 All-Star senior players who were nominated by over 100 high school coaches for consideration for North and South squads.

This annual all-star football contest, the flagship fundraiser of the Aleppo Shriners, benefits the Shriners Hospitals for children, including, Shriners Children’s Boston and Shriners Children’s New England.
