Gophers sophomore center Pharrel Payne has entered the NCAA transfer portal, a source confirmed to the Pioneer Press on Thursday.
The exit of Payne delivers a big blow to the strength of next year’s roster. The 6-foot-9 post player joins backup forward Josh Ola-Joseph in players leaving the program.
Payne averaged 10.0 points and 6.1 rebounds in 31 games last season.
