Pakistan January 2024: Sazgar Haval H6 #3 in market down just -3%

The Sazgar Haval H6 leaps onto the podium in January.

According to data by local association PAMA, sales of new locally made light vehicles in Pakistan slow down their fall in January at -3% year-on-year to 10,536 units. Note not all manufacturers present in Pakistan are members of PAMA such as Kia, Changan and MG notably and therefore don’t appear in these statistics. Battered a year ago, Suzuki (+54.4%) is back to its traditional brands top spot at 43.2% share. It distances Toyota (-22.6%) and Honda (-50.5%) both falling faster than the market. Model-wise, the Suzuki Alto (+6679.5%) was annihilated last year hence the surreal year-on-year evolution leading to a strong 28.3% share vs. 25.7% over the Full Year 2023. Below the Toyota Corolla estimated at 10.1% share, the event of the month is the Sazgar Haval H6 (+132.2%) surging to a record third place. Notice also the arrival of the Toyota Corolla Cross at an estimated 15th place.
