Police: Boston University-area convenience store robbed at gunpoint
Police are searching for a person they say committed an armed robbery at a convenience store used by Boston University students earlier this afternoon.
A “light skin male” pulled out a dark-colored firearm and robbed a location at 21 Massachusetts Ave. just before 1 p.m., according to an alert issued by the Boston University Police Department.
The address, at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Beacon Street, matches that of a convenience store business called “Quality Mart.” The store did not answer the phone to confirm that it was the one robbed.
Police say the suspect was wearing a black North Face coat, blue jeans, Timberland boots, a white basketball jersey and carrying a black North Face backpack.
BUPD asks that if anyone sees a person matching this description call them at 617-353-2121 or to call 911.
