Watch Live: Brian Walshe sentenced to live without parole
9:53 a.m. Judge Diane Freniere has sentence Walshe to life with out parole and the maximum sentences for lying to police and improperly disposing of a body, to be served consecutively. She spoke of the “the life of trauma you inflicted on your own children,” and described his behavior as barbaric from the bench.
9:42 a.m. The defense is saying that the consecutive sentences are “inhumane.”
9:36 a.m. The prosecution is saying that Ana’s body was likely in the home for 24 hours before he started to dispose of it. “The same home his children are in,” said Assistant DA Greg Connor.
9:32 a.m. Prosecutors are asking for a life sentence with no possibility of parole, and consecutive sentences for his other convicted crimes.
9:30 a.m. “No sentence can bring her back,” Ana Walshe’s sister says, but she asks the court to please follow the Commonwealth’s recommendation.
