Boston Police Blotter: Trafficking 100 grams of crack
Boston Police seized 100 grams of crack cocaine and more than $1,000 after witnessing an alleged drug sale Wednesday.
Officers said they observed what they believed was a street-level drug transaction at a gas station on Tremont Street.
Police say they stopped a person they suspected was a purchaser and recovered a plastic bag of cocaine.
The suspected seller left the gas station in a vehicle, which police stopped in the area around 41 Smith St.
Police say they arrested the driver, who they identified as Lance Gerald, 38, of Boston, and charged him with trafficking cocaine and distributing a Class B drug.
Officers say they recovered two plastic bags containing about 100 grams of cocaine, drug packaging materials, and a scale. A vehicle search also allegedly produced three cell phones and $1,115.
Gerald is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
