Boston Police Blotter: 3 shot in Mattapan

Three people were shot in Mattapan Saturday afternoon.

Boston Police officers responded to the first block of Hiawatha Street in Mattapan after the ShotSpotter system alerted them to the sounds of gunshots in the area.

Police say that they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds in the area: two men and one woman.

All three were taken to area hospitals for treatment. While the woman’s gunshot injuries were at first deemed life-threatening, a police spokesman said that her prognosis has since been downgraded to “serious.” Neither of the men’s injuries are deemed life threatening.

Police ask anyone who has any information on this shooting to contact detectives anonymously through the city’s CrimeStoppers program by calling 1-800-494-TIPS (8477), texting the word “TIP” to CRIME (27463), or by submitting information through the CrimeStopers website at https://police.boston.gov/crimestoppers/.

Incident summary

Between 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, the Boston Police Department reports that its officers responded to 281 incidents. Those include two robberies, eight aggravated assaults, one residential burglary, one theft from a vehicle, one stolen car and 22 instances of miscellaneous larceny.

Arrests

All of the below-named defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

– Thomas Conley, no address listed. External warrant arrest.

– Frisnel Lauriston, 39 Tennis Road, Mattapan. Trespassing.

– Juan Jimenez, 108 London St., East Boston. Possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs.

– Marco Perfetto, 405 Taulman Road, Lawrence, Connecticut. Assault and battery.
