Return of the trees: Timberwolves bring back classic jersey, court
Fans have asked, and the Timberwolves have finally answered: The trees are back in Minnesota.
The Kevin Garnett-era jersey and court — which were most known for their green tree-lined trim — are coming back this season, the Wolves announced Wednesday.
Both will be featured at more than half of Minnesota’s home games. Twenty-one times the Wolves will sport the classic jersey/court combination at Target Center during the 2025-26 campaign, beginning with the first three home bouts of the season — Oct. 26 against Indiana, Oct. 27 against Denver and Oct. 29 against the Lakers.
“Our Black Trees uniforms pay tribute to one of the most defining eras in team and league history, while introducing a new generation of fans to the Timberwolves’ legacy,” new Timberwolves CEO Matt Caldwell said in a statement. “These iconic uniforms hold a special place in our community, and bringing them back reflects our commitment to listening to fans and celebrating the moments they value most. We will continue to take a fan-first approach and look forward to unveiling more surprises throughout the season.”
Minnesota will also wear the classic black jerseys for seven road games.
