Former Hudson teacher accused of sexually assaulting Washington County teen while working as nanny
A former Hudson, Wis., elementary school teacher charged last month with sexual misconduct with a student is now accused of sexually assaulting a Washington County 15-year-old boy while working as his family’s nanny.
Abigail Michelle Faust, 25, of Hudson, was charged Friday in Washington County District Court with third-degree criminal sexual conduct for what the complaint says was a “sexual relationship” with the teen that began in December after she sent him provocative photos.

Faust, who resigned from her teaching job at Rivercrest Elementary School in May, is in custody at the St. Croix County Jail in Hudson.
Last month, Faust was charged in St. Croix County Circuit Court with sexual misconduct by school staff and other charges, alleging she kissed a fifth-grade boy last year in her classroom at the end of a school day.
She’s also charged with failing to report that her then-fellow teacher — Madison Lynn Bergmann — was sexually assaulting another fifth-grader. In May, Bergmann, 25, of Lake Elmo, was charged with first-degree child sexual assault of a child under age 13. Her case is ongoing.
Bergmann and Faust were friends and had exchanged texts about their interactions with the students, court documents say.
According to the latest criminal complaint against Faust:
The parents of the Washington County teen saw news reports that Faust, their nanny since 2021, had been arrested and charged for sexual misconduct with her former student.
Last week, the teen, who turned 16 this summer, told a Washington County deputy that Faust sent provocative messages to him on Dec. 8 through Snapchat, followed by pictures of herself wearing lingerie. The teen said Faust told him that they both knew what they were doing was “bad” and that they would both get in trouble if he told anyone.
Faust and the teen called and Facetimed each other, with the conversations becoming increasingly sexual.
The teen said that on Dec. 22, when he was home alone, Faust approached him in his bedroom and kissed him. They “went through the motions of having sexual intercourse without actual penetration,” the complaint states.
Faust and the teen continued exchanging nude pictures of themselves during December, with Faust telling him that she felt “grossed out” at herself and acknowledging that her behavior was inappropriate.
At the end of December or early January, Faust told the teen that they could have sex if he did well in the sport he was playing.
Faust first sexually assaulted the teen in early January at her home in Hudson, then twice more that month after she spent the night at his home. “(The victim) explained that during this time period, he believed he and (Faust) were in an exclusive relationship and that (Faust) referenced the two having a child together some day,” the complaint states.
Over the next few months, the sexual assaults continued approximately twice a week, mostly at the teen’s home when Faust spent the night, the complaint alleges.
At the end of April, the teen and his family went on a trip to Florida, with Faust staying back to take care of the family’s pets. During this time, Faust then began a “sexual relationship” with one of the teen’s friends, who is also a juvenile, the complaint alleges.

Faust allegedly resumed assaulting the first victim in June, claiming that what they had was “true love,” the complaint states. The assaults continued throughout the summer, with Faust joining the family at their cabin and also in the Bahamas for a family vacation in August.
The teen said the last incident occurred in mid-August, around the same time his parents expressed concern over how close he and Faust appeared to be.
Faust continued to contact the teen after the Wisconsin charges were filed, professing her love for him, the complaint says.
Aaron Nelson, Faust’s attorney in the Wisconsin case, said Wednesday he could not comment on the Washington County case because he is not representing her in that one.
