Morocco February 2025: Sales up 46.4%, Peugeot, BYD stand out

Peugeot sales are up 662.5% in February.

The Moroccan new light vehicle market continues to shoot up in February at +46.4% year-on-year to 15,758 units. This is split between 13,506 passenger cars (+42.7%) and 2,259 light commercials (+72.9%). After freefalling in January, Dacia (+30.3%) recovers this month to 23.8% share yet trails the market. Renault (+69.5%) and Hyundai (+54.8%) on the contrary gain market share year-on-year and complete the podium like last month. Peugeot sports an extravagant +662.5% lift on weak year-ago results and returns to the 4th spot it held over the Full Year 2024. Citroen (+60.6%) is the only additional Top 10 brand to outpace the market at #7. Further down, BYD (+4700%) makes itself noticed at #14 and 1.8% share as do Nissan (+241.2%), Geely (+200%) and MG (+172%).
