Birchwood Village accepting applications for city administrator

Birchwood Village is searching for someone to fill the city’s top post following last month’s resignation of City Administrator Rebecca Kellen.

Kellen, who had been with the city for almost three years, resigned on Feb. 7.

City officials are searching for someone to oversee and address the city’s infrastructure needs, manage the city’s budget and financial operations and supervise city staff and ensure smooth daily operations, according to the job description.

Applicants also should be proficient in Microsoft Office and social-media applications; friendly and polite to residents; flexible with their daily work schedule; have experience working in city government, and have experience in finance or accounting, the description states.

The job is a part-time, hybrid position, 20 to 30 hours per week; benefits include PERA and family, sick and safe time. Kellen was paid $34 an hour, said City Attorney Alan Kantrud.

Anyone interested should send a letter of interest and their resume to info@cityofbirchwood.co.
