Attacker killed in Boston Chick-fil-A shooting identified
The knife-wielding attacker shot and killed by an off-duty Boston police officer after refusing to back down from terrorizing Chick-fil-A patrons in the Back Bay this weekend has been identified.
The 32-year-old was Lemark Jaramillo with a last known address of Roslindale, according to BPD. He is a U.S. citizen.
The off-duty officer is credited with saving the lives of innocent bystanders waiting for their chicken sandwiches.
A source tells the Herald Jaramillo was locked in a “dispute” that eruped into a fight that came in off the street and into Chick-fil-A in the 500-block of Boylston Street just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
A Jaramillo family spokeswoman, who asked not be be quoted by name, said her family is “grieving” and Lemark was “not a violent man.”
