Letter: Upset over stolen campaign signs

This is addressed to you, the person who stole my presidential lawn sign.

I am a private citizen living in a nice neighborhood on a nice street in Prior Lake, so I had no reservation in displaying my choice for president with a lawn sign. On the morning after the final presidential debate, I discovered that you came onto my lawn and took my sign. After discussing this with the Prior Lake police, I learned that you actually committed two offenses: trespassing on private property and in the course of committing a theft.

In the scheme of things, one might say this is no big deal, but you actually infringed on my freedom of speech expression. Whether you did this as a joke or a lark or had something more sinister in your heart in “silencing” my visual choice, there is one very important aspect to this incident: you cannot steal my actual vote. You may never read this letter but I can at least use this forum to call you out as I still continue to be a private person living in a nice neighborhood on a nice street in Prior Lake.
