Waseca shuts down Hubmen

The Waseca Bluejays’ strong run game and some iffy weather did the Jordan football team in.

In the 20-0 win, Waseca rushed the ball for almost 350 yards as it controlled the ball and kept it away from Jordan’s explosive offense.

When Jordan’s offense did have the ball, a steady rain and sturdy Bluejays offense held the Hubmen’s offense.

Waseca finished with 366 total yards (349 rushing yards) while Jordan finished with 104 total yards.

The game was scoreless until late in the first half when Waseca punched the ball into the end zone on a 5-yard touchdown run by Malik Williamson. They converted the two-point conversion and went up 8-0 with 1:52 left in the first half.

Midway through the third quarter, Waseca went up 14-0 on a Joe Hagen 14-yard touchdown run.

Jordan’s defense stopped Waseca on a fourth and goal at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but it couldn’t stop the Bluejays from scoring later in the game.

Waseca went up 20-0 on a 4-yard touchdown run and went on to win by the same score.
