Got junk to unload? Your day is coming
Hutchinson residents looking to get rid of an old appliance, outdated electronic gadget, or a worn-out piece of furniture are in luck.
Just in time to handle that is Hutchinson’s annual fall Special White Goods, Hard Goods and Electronics Pick-up event scheduled the next two Saturdays. Residents west of State Highway 15 are asked to have the items they wish to dispose of at their curb by 6 a.m. this coming Saturday, Sept. 24. Those living east of Highway 15 should have their items curbside by 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.
Only two items per residence are accepted, and commercial properties are not eligible.
White goods include appliances such as stoves, refrigerators and freezers (with the doors removed), air conditioners, dehumidifiers, microwaves and more.
Hard goods include such things as couches, chairs, desks, doors, gas grills (without tanks), lawn mowers (with oil and gas drained) tables, vacuum cleaners and even toilets.
Among the many electronics accepted are televisions, cameras, computers, copiers, stereo radios, CD players, fax machines, printers, VCRs and scanners.
