Three-alarm fire ‘knocked down’ by Boston firefighters in Jamaica Plain
A raging fire was “knocked down” on Boylston Street in Jamaica Plain late Saturday night as Boston firefighters reported they were chasing hot spots.
BFD said the building was occupied and the fire was first spotted on “multiple floors.” One firefighter was reportedly injured.
A second and third alarm was sounded, BFD added. The fire was first reported at 11:15 p.m. Saturday at the large four-story building in Egleston Square.
The fire department quickly praised the ladder companies for “getting ground ladders and aerial ladders to the building working around multiple power lines.”
Some were commenting on social media that flames “shot through the roof” before BFD put the fire out.
