Some very late news…. but I am posting this quick update to let you know I have an article in draft right now. Should be published at some point in the near future!

Let’s go back in time to November 2023. A book had been written, publishing awaited… but there was one last piece of the creative puzzle for the author and that was the cover art. Conceptual and creative thinking was not a problem for their highly tuned brain, and the book was to bet he 4th in a series. That number sparked the idea, a Renault 4 on the cover? The style was clear in their mind, a design sketch. A loose doodle… pretending to be from the designer’s sketch pad, but one thing stood in the way of this book cover design: their ability to draw.

Luckily this is one of the skills I seem to have been unable to destroy despite consistent neglect via far too much talking and very little actual doing. Mr Sniff Petrol revived me when he asked for a design style sketch of a Renault 4. And my sketches are what now adorn the front and rear covers of his 4th utterly boring book of car trivia. Buy it though, it’s awesome.

In other news, I am listed and praised rather highly by a service called Feedspot. This seems to be a paid service for me to promote my blog, but I was contacted by them to let me know I rank at No.2 in their recommendations. Which is nice. Some SEO link insertion has been offered to me also, but sponsored content is not something I am interested in particularly. This blog tended to be my thoughts and advice on car styling past and future. I would like to keep focused on this… and there are some thoughts in draft at the moment.
