Bruins play in Utah for first time
The Bruins will look to win their second straight game when they play for the first time in St. Lake City’s Delta Center on Saturday against Utah HC ( 9 p.m.)
After the morning skate, coach Jim Montgomery said there would be lineup changes in the forward group but would not divulge them after the skate. In Friday’s practice, however, he had Justin Brazeau taking turns at right wing on the Brad Marchand-Charlie Coyle line while Morgan Geekie and Trent Frederic flanked center Matt Poitras. We’ll see if those lines hold. Geekie and Brazeau had been scratched in Wednesday’s win in Colorado.
Utah HC (3-1-1) seem to be playing with a new energy since coming from Arizona and Montgomery, who played a couple of seasons with the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL, said there’s a noticeable vibe around town.
“We’ve all been very impressed with how much the people are talking about the hockey, how excited they are. There’s a buzz and an energy downtown that we’ve noticed. It is very exciting for the league and for them,” said Montgomery.
Jeremy Swayman is expected to face Connor Ingram in goal in Utah.
This is the second of a three-game western swing, which the B’s will finish on Tuesday in Nashville.
