Patriots rule out Vederian Lowe, ensuring seven offensive line combo
The Patriots will start their seventh offensive line combination in seven weeks on Sunday against the Jaguars.
Left tackle Vederian Lowe was ruled out with an ankle injury Thursday night as the Patriots flew to London. That indicates that Lowe did not make the trip to London to play the Jaguars in Wembley Stadium but that other injured players like running back Rhamondre Stevenson did fly overseas.

Lowe was part of last week’s starting offensive line along with left guard Michael Jordan, center Ben Brown, right guard Mike Onwenu and right tackle Demontrey Jacobs.
Lowe’s absence will likely force Jacobs to move back to left tackle and slide Onwenu to right tackle. The Patriots will have to choose between rookie Layden Robinson and second-year pro Sidy Sow to start at right tackle.
Lowe has struggled to stay healthy this season, but he’s been the Patriots’ most consistent left tackle, and their top choice in the role.
Guard Zachary Thomas was Lowe’s in-game fill-in last week in the Patriots’ loss to the Texans.
Here were the Patriots’ starting offensive lines through the first six weeks of the season:
Week 1: LT Chukwuma Okorafor, LG Jordan, C David Andrews, RG Robinson, RT Onwenu
Week 2: LT Lowe, LG Jordan, C Andrews, RG Robinson, RT Onwenu
Week 3: LT Caedan Wallace, LG Jordan, C Andrews, RG Robinson, RT Onwenu
Week 4: LT Jacobs, LG Sow, C Andrews, RG Robinson, RT Onwenu
Week 5: LT Lowe, LG Jordan, C Nick Leverett, RG Onwenu, RT Jacobs
Week 6: LT Lowe, LG Jordan, C Brown, RG Onwenu, RT Jacobs
Okorafor is on the left squad/reserve list. Leverett was cut this week. Wallace (ankle) and Andrews (shoulder) are on injured reserve.
