Friday’s high school roundup/scores: Tabor wins thriller with 32-yard TD pass on final play

Peter Bourque scrambled and connected with Dameer Phifer on a 32-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the game to give Tabor (4-0) a wild 40-34 victory over St. Sebastian’s.

On the winning play, Bourque bought some additional time as he scrambled a good 15 yards before launching a pass to a leaping Phifer in the endzone.

Hugo Djeumeni had five touchdowns for Tabor to offset a brilliant five-TD effort by St. Sebastian’s quarterback Ty Ciongoli.

Arnaud Dugas ran for a score, threw a touchdown pass and picked off two passes on defense as Thayer (1-3) edged Brooks, 14-13. … Frankie Forrest ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns, while catching two passes for 40 yards and a score to lead Middlesex (3-1) to a 26-21 win over Rivers. … Aiden Bly threw for two scores and ran for a third to give Governor’s Academy (3-1) a 39-7 win over Milton Academy.

In the Commonwealth Athletic Conference, Colby Catterton hit Chase Carney with a game-winning 6-yard TD pass with 12 seconds left to give Nashoba Tech (5-0) a 31-28 win over Whittier. … Jose Echavarria returned an interception for a touchdown and also caught a TD pass as KIPP blanked Lowell Catholic, 24-0.

Danny Hou rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns, and Gio Woodard ran for 215 yards and two scores as Revere earned its first win, 43-14, over Somerville in the Greater Boston League.

Basketball

The sixth annual Tony Romano Holiday Tournament will take place on Dec. 23 and 27 at Tewksbury High School. The opening day of action on Dec. 23 features Chelmsford vs. Wilmington girls at 2, Bedford vs. Bedford boys at 3:30, Bedford vs. Tewksbury girls at 5:15 and Chelmsford vs. Tewksbury boys at 7. Consolation and finals will take place at the same time on Dec. 27.

Class notes

East Bridgewater announced the latest inductees into the school’s Hall of Fame. The list included the following: coaches Gordon Ross and Matthew Monteiro, the 2011 (winter), 2012 (fall), 2013 (winter), and 2015 (winter) cheerleading teams along with Karissa (Carey) Connors, Michelle Corbett, David Edwards, Connor Gavin, Stanley Goldman, Joseph Hak, Jennifer Harlow, Michael Holland, Michael Khoury, Laurence Leland, Sal Longo, Jean Marble, Vernon Post, Michael O’Sullivan, Stacee (Orcutt) Koch, Olivia Signori, Matthew Singleton, and Cameron Troup.

They will be honored in a ceremony on November 30th at East Bridgewater Jr/Sr High School. There will be a dinner and social hour in the cafeteria from 6-7 p.m. followed by the induction ceremony in the Judith A. Reardon Performing Arts Center.
