FOXBORO — Patriots starting safety Kyle Dugger’s practice participation status was upgraded Thursday.
Dugger was limited in Thursday’s session. It was the first time he’s participated in practice since he injured his ankle in Week 4.

Dugger, WR Kendrick Bourne (knee), DT Davon Godchaux (elbow), CB Marcus Jones (groin), C Nick Leverett (ankle), WR K.J. Osborn (shoulder), G Layden Robinson (ankle/wrist), LB Sione Takitaki (knee), CB Marco Wilson (groin) and CB Isaiah Bolden (hamstring) were limited in practice. T Vederian Lowe (knee), LB Anfernee Jennings (shoulder) and CB Jonathan Jones (shoulder) were listed as full participants.
Bolden was new to the injury report, while Lowe was upgraded from limited to full.
It would be beneficial to get Dugger back into the starting lineup since fellow safety Jabrill Peppers is on the commissioner’s exempt list after his arrest last week.
