A Patriots spokesperson released the following statement: “We are aware of an incident involving Jabrill Peppers over the weekend in which the police are currently investigating. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Peppers, 29, did not play in Sunday’s game against Miami. He was voted a team captain for the first time this season, his third in New England. Peppers originally joined the Patriots as a free agent in 2022 and enjoyed a career year last season.
