Croatia September 2024: Skoda Octavia leads again, Geely Coolray up to #12

The Geely Coolray is getting closer to the Top 10 in Croatia.

4,123 new cars hit Croatian roads in September, a splendid 11.9% year-on-year improvement leading to a year-to-date tally up 12.2% to 51,782. The Top 3 manufacturers all beat the market, with Skoda (+28.4%) reclaiming the top spot off Volkswagen (+40.1%) at 15.1% share vs. 11.8%. Toyota (+61.2%) fares even better and gains two spots on August to #3. Renault (-2%) disappoints at #4 but Suzuki (+20.2%) and Audi (+31.6%) shine. MG (+178.3%) continues to surge and insert itself inside the Croatian Top 10 for the second time ever after last July (#9). Ford (+306.1%) and Tesla (+111.9%) also impress while Geely is up to a record #16, 84 sales and 2%.

Model-wise the Skoda Octavia (+51.7%) continues to dominate at 5.5% share just as the Renault Clio (+10.8%) rallies back 12 spots on last month to #2. The VW Tiguan (+24.8%) lodges another stellar month at #3, distancing the MG ZS (+155.1%) and VW T-Cross (+213.2%) both euphoric. The Dacia Sandero (-40.3%) is back inside the Top 20 at #6 but suffers from a particularly high year-ago basis as it topped the charts in September 2023. The Suzuki Vitara (+60.6%) and Skoda Kodiaq (+68.5%) beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Finally the Geely Coolray is up seven ranks on its first Top 20 finish last month to #12.
