Bruins sign Jeremy Swayman to eight-year, $66 million deal
Jeremy Swayman apparently needed $66 million reasons to play some hockey.
Less than a week after Bruins team president Cam Neely now famously said he’d have “64 million reasons” to be signing if he were Swayman, the goalie signed for an eight-year deal with an average annual value of $8.25 million on Sunday.
Some feared Monday’s presser by the Bruins’ brass would cause irreparable damage between the the goalie and the player; the 25-year-old Swayman will now be locked up until he’s 33.
GM Don Sweeney and Swayman will be holding a presser at 11:30 am.
