The redesigned 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 is bringing fresh styling, more technology, and a new generation of V8 power, but buyers will also have to prepare for higher prices. GMC has revealed pricing for four-wheel-drive crew-cab versions of its next-generation half-ton pickup, with most trims jumping by several thousand dollars. The entry-level Sierra Pro now starts at $51,295, an increase of $1,955, while the Elevation moves to $59,995, representing a more noticeable $3,600 bump.

The 2027 lineup has also been simplified, with the familiar SLE and SLT trims no longer part of the mix. That leaves the Elevation filling a larger role in the middle of the Sierra range. Both the Pro and Elevation come standard with an updated 2.7-liter TurboMax four-cylinder producing 350 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can also move up to the 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel inline-six or GMC’s new 5.7-liter V8, which produces 402 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque. Every available engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Off-road buyers will find the AT4 and AT4X returning with more capability and higher prices. The Sierra AT4 now starts at $73,495, up $2,700, while the more serious AT4X climbs $3,100 to $85,495. The AT4 features a 2-inch factory lift and 34-inch all-terrain tires, while the AT4X steps up to 35-inch mud-terrain tires along with Multimatic dampers and new jounce control hardware. The AT4 comes standard with the 5.7-liter V8 and offers the Duramax diesel, while the AT4X starts with the diesel and can be equipped with the new 6.6-liter V8 producing 481 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque.

GMC’s luxury-focused Denali sees one of the larger increases, starting at $76,795, which is $4,105 more than before. It comes standard with the 5.7-liter V8, with the larger 6.6-liter V8 and Duramax diesel available as alternatives. Inside, the redesigned Sierra leans harder into technology and premium materials, with GMC offering more than 60 inches of combined digital display space on upper trims. At the very top, the Denali Ultimate starts at $87,895, just $205 more than its predecessor, making its relatively small increase stand out compared with the rest of the lineup.

Despite the higher entry prices, GMC is giving Sierra buyers quite a bit more truck for 2027, including the new sixth-generation 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, a thoroughly redesigned cabin, upgraded technology, and more serious hardware for the AT4X. The first 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 models are expected to reach dealerships before the end of 2026, with pricing for additional cab configurations and bed lengths to follow as production expands.
