Snow expected across the state Saturday with most in southern and western portions
While Friday temperatures were beautiful above normal, reaching 50s in some spots, the National Weather Service Twin Cities said that the weather Saturday will “turn wintry again with temperatures crashing … and a band of accumulating snow moving from west to east” on Saturday.
Snowfall totals will be highest across western and southern portions of the state but further north, the accumulation will diminish and the Twin Cities should also see about an inch of snow, the weather service said on X.
The chance of seeing the mercury rise as high as 40 won’t be likely until at least Monday at the earliest.
