España cierra el año como líder del ranking FIFA de fútbol masculino

ZURICH (AP) — España terminará 2025 como el mejor equipo masculino en el ranking de la FIFA.
Hubo cambios limitados en el nuevo ranking publicado el lunes, ya que solo se contaron los partidos de la Copa Árabe después de que se publicaran las clasificaciones anteriores el 19 de noviembre.
Los diez primeros lugares permanecen sin cambios, con Argentina, Francia, Inglaterra, Brasil, Portugal, Holanda, Bélgica, Alemania y Croacia en ese orden detrás de España.
España ganó la clasificación del Grupo E para la Copa del Mundo y se enfrentará a Uruguay, Arabia Saudí y Cabo Verde en el Grupo H en el torneo de 2026, que será coanfitrión por Estados Unidos, Canadá y México.
La FIFA informó que Vietnam, que subió tres lugares hasta el puesto 107 en el ranking, registró el mayor avance.
El próximo ranking se publicará el 19 de enero.
