St. Paul cat show to feature over 100 felines competing for prizes

Over 100 cats, including Maine Coons and Persian Longhairs, will compete before nationally accredited judges this weekend at the St. Paul RiverCentre.

The 92nd annual cat show, hosted by the Twin Cities Cat Fanciers, runs Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27-28.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Twin Cities Cat Fanciers, a nonprofit club promoting cat health and breed preservation, supports local rescues to give attendees the chance to learn about adoptable cats.

Kitty Revolution, a volunteer-based, no-kill cat rescue in Inver Grove Heights, will be featured. Cats that are up for adoption can be found at kittyrevolution.org.

There also will be vendors selling cat toys, cat-themed clothes and jewelry, according to organizers.

Tickets are priced at $15 for adults, $10 for children and seniors and $45 for a family four-pack. Tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
