Patriots-Steelers injury report: Christian Gonzalez among several players limited Wednesday

Patriots’ Christian Gonzalez found injury absence ‘challenging’

White had missed four straight practices with an illness and was held out of Sundays’ win over the Dolphins. Chaisson was limited Wednesday with a hamstring injury and wasn’t spotted participating during the window open to reporters.

Gonzalez practiced Wednesday for the first time since July 28 as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Cornerback Carlton Davis III was also on the field after being listed as limited with an Achilles injury.

The Patriots take on the Steelers on Sunday at Gillette Stadium. If Gonzalez makes his return, it will be the first time he and Davis have played together since the beginning of the summer. They’re expected to be one of the NFL’s top cornerback tandems.
