Patriots-Steelers injury report: Christian Gonzalez among several players limited Wednesday

Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez was limited Wednesday during his first practice in seven-plus weeks.

And he wasn’t the only one.

Fellow cornerback Carlton Davis (achilles), outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson (hamstring), offensive lineman Jared Wilson (thigh) and fullback Jack Westover (hamstring) were all limited by new injuries.

Outside linebacker Harold Landry and starting right tackle Morgan Moses were also held back by foot injuries they played through last weekend at Miami. Defensive lineman Keion White (illness) was the only player who did not practice Wednesday, his fourth straight absence.

In Pittsburgh, outside linebacker T.J. Watt (veteran rest), cornerbacks Darius Slay (veteran rest) and Joey Porter Jr. (hamstring) and safety DeShon Elliott (knee) did not practice. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has already ruled out starting outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (ankle) for Sunday’s game in New England.
