Overnight closure of I-35W in Burnsville, lane reductions planned this weekend
Starting Sunday night, southbound Interstate-35W in Burnsville will be reduced to one lane between Cliff Road and Minnesota Highway 13 nightly until Wednesday morning and the entire freeway will close overnight in both directions between Interstate 494 and the I35/I35E/I35W split on Monday night.
The closures are scheduled so crews can repair medians and do concrete deck work, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Overnight lane reduction begins at 9 a.m. Sunday with all lanes open at 5 a.m. Monday and then the same nightly pattern continues until 5 a.m. Wednesday when all lanes open.
The entire stretch of freeway between I-494 and the I35/I35E/I35W split will shut down at 9 p.m. Monday and open at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
