Hundreds of volunteers to pack meals during 9/11 Day
Hundreds of volunteers gathered at the TRACK at New Balance to pack meals for the needy during the 9/11 Day National Meal Pack Program.
In 2016, 9/11 Day launched its first “Meal Pack” in New York City to provide opportunities for New Yorkers to mark 9/11 Day through service. Since then, 9/11 Day has launched Meal Packs across the nation. In 2025, Meal Packs will be held in 24 cities, mobilizing more than 31,000 volunteers who will join together to pack more than 9,500,000 nutritious, non-perishable meals for Americans at risk of hunger in those communities. September is National Hunger Action Month.
