Bruins release Prospects Challenge roster

Bruins rookies will report to Warrior Ice Arena on Tuesday for two days of practice before heading off to Buffalo for the annual Prospects Challenge, during which they’ll play two games.

One player who is expected to make a strong run for a spot on the Boston roster is center Fraser Minten, who finished the season with the B’s after being obtained from Toronto in the Brandon Carlo trade. Other players to watch are former Umass forward Dans Locmelis, the 2022 fourth round pick who played very well at the end of the season with the Providence Bruins (3-9-12 in six games), and defenseman Loke Johansson, a 2024 sixth round pick who played very well for Moncton (QMJHL) in his first North American season.

The B’s released the roster for Prospects Challenge on Monday:

Forwards: Dalton Bancroft, Cole Chandler, Ty Cheveldayoff, Robert Cronin*, Riley Duran, Dylan Edwards*, Brett Harrison, Mavrick Lachance*, Dans Locmelis, Fraser Minten, Jake Schmaltz, Cooper Simpson, Emmanuel Vermette*

Defensemen: Grayson Burzynski*, Jackson Edward, Ty Gallagher, Loke Johansson, Dylan MacKinnon*, Oliver Turner*, Mitch Young*

Goaltenders: Ben Hrebik*, Simon Zajicek
