UK nations August 2025: Jaecoo 7 in Top 10 of 3 nations, Peugeot 3008 #1 in Northern Ireland
The Jaecoo 7 ranks #2 in Scotland, like in July.
Thanks to SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for each UK nation in August. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are already included in the August 2025 UK update. This month Scotland is the only UK nation in positive at +5.1% to 7,570 sales. England is relatively stable at -1.8% to 69,385 but both Northern Ireland (-8.9% to 3,156) and Wales (-17.6% to 2,483) sink. Year-to-date, this time it’s England that is the only positive nation at +3.1% to 1,084,393 with Scotland stable at -0.7% to 106,420 but Wales at -6.6% to 40,538 and Northern Ireland at -8.8% to 31,523 both struggle.
Podium finishers are as follows: the Ford Puma is #1 in England and Wales and #3 in Northern Ireland, the Peugeot 3008 #1 in Northern Ireland, the Vauxhall Corsa #1 in Scotland, the Tesla Model Y #2 in England, the Jaecoo 7 #2 in Scotland, #5 in Wales and #8 in England, the Kia Sportage #2 in Northern Ireland, the MG HS #2 in Wales, the Tesla Model 3 #3 in England, the Volvo XC40 #3 in Scotland and the Peugeot 2008 #3 in Wales. Other great performers include the Hyundai Kona #5 in Northern Ireland, Kia Picanto #7 in Wales and the Dacia Duster #9 in Northern Ireland.
