NEW YORK – Back in June, Roman Anthony faced the Yankees just three games into his big-league career.

On Thursday night, he’ll contend with them again, on their home turf. Anthony will lead off for the Red Sox in the first of a crucial four-game set at Yankee Stadium this weekend, as Boston looks to right the ship after dropping three in a row and eight of their last 12.

It’s unclear when Jhostynxon Garcia will make his MLB debut, but the top outfield prospect is on his way to join the Red Sox in New York for the series as Wilyer Abreu goes on the injured list.
