Woman, 21, dies in Arden Hills crash; passengers injured
A 21-year-old woman died after a crash Tuesday night on an Arden Hills freeway.
Fatuma Yussuf Sharif-Isaack, of Brooklyn Park, was driving west on Interstate 694 at U.S. 10 when her car crossed from the right lane into the left shoulder, hit the guardrail, rolled over, struck another vehicle and came to rest on its right side, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The crash happened at 6:26 p.m.
Sharif-Isaack, who the State Patrol said was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the hospital.
Two passengers in her car, a 20-year-old woman from Fridley and a 21-year-old woman from Brooklyn Park, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.
The 41-year-old Maplewood driver of the vehicle that was struck was uninjured.
