Singapore June 2025: BYD (+108.4%) leads again at 18.1% share

BYD is the most popular carmaker in Singapore.

The Singaporean new car market is up another fantastic 22.9% year-on-year in June to 4,639 units, leading to a H1 tally up 29% to 23,957. BYD (+108.4%) more than doubles its sales year-on-year to reach 18.1% share, albeit below its YTD level of 19.5%. Toyota (+23.8%) roughly matches the market to stay in 2nd place with 16% share vs. 14.4% so far this year. BMW (-5.2%) is in difficulty but still manages to hold onto the third position. Tesla (+53.2%) is in great shape at #5 and 10.2% share vs. 5.9% YTD. No other Top 10 member beats the market, with Hyundai (-43.4%) in particularly bad posture. Below, GAC (+455.6%), MG (+178.4%) and Porsche (+106.7%) stand out.
