BASEBALL

Jack Shapiro homered twice and drove in five runs, while Marco Sullivan allowed one hit and fanned eight in four innings as Latin Academy defeated Nantucket, 13-0. … Jackson Shusda and Ronan Sullivan combined to fan 10, while Will Forman had two hits and two RBI as Dover-Sherborn edged Needham, 5-4.

Ryan McMahon went 3-for-4 at the plate and also picked up the win with 8 strikeouts in four innings as Malden rolled to an 11-1 win over Salem Academy in the first round of the Golden Tornado Club First Pitch Classic.

Tyler Boviard allowed one hit and struck out five in four innings as Pingree defeated St. Paul 7-1 in the NEPSAC.

SOFTBALL

Gianna Richardson allowed two hits in four innings as Randolph defeated Mashpee 14-2 in the South Shore League.

Noey Giardina went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored as Hanover defeated Plymouth North 7-3 in the Patriot League.

Malia Goldberg went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Elsie Testa struck out 11 as Abington blanked Pembroke, 4-0.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Maeve Kelly had six goals and an assist, while Kendall Herrick added five goals and an assist

as Medfield defeated Medway 20-8 in the Tri-Valley League. … Emilie DeMaio had five goals and an assist as Westwood rolled to an 18-2 win over Ashland.

Emily Keefe had six goals and a pair of assists as Bridgewater-Raynham opened its season with a 15-3 nonleague win over Silver Lake. … Abby Bradley led the scoring with four goals and four assists as Apponequet defeated Dartmouth, 11-8.

BOYS LACROSSE

Kenny Wisniewski scored six goals and added a pair of assists as Apponequet defeated Dartmouth 13-8 in a nonleague contest. … Trey Kean and Matt Donovan each had four goals and two assists as North Andover edged Lexington, 11-10.
