Martinique (France) February 2025: Peugeot and Kia in the lead

Kia sales are up 62.3% in February.

We have a new monthly update on BSCB: Martinique, a French overseas territory. After 6 consecutive months of year-on-year decline including -21.2% last November, -21% in December and -13.6% in January, new car sales in the territory are up 16.9% in February to 982 units, the best February volume since 2022 (1,066). We have a Top 10 brands ranking available. Peugeot (+46.9% storms into first place with 14.4% share, followed by Kia (+62.3%) also very dynamic and up four spots on a year ago. Leader in February 2024, Renault (-13.7%) suffers and falls to 3rd position. Citroen (+22.8%) is up one rank to #4, distancing Dacia (+3.3%). Hyundai (+81%) climbs to #6 while Seat breaks into the Top 10 at #7.

We only have access to sporadic models ranking, notably over the Full Year 2024 when the Renault Clio was in the lead with 1,287 sales above the Peugeot 208 at 847. Note the Martinique Full Year 2024 sales figure is down a painful -10.7% to 14,600. The Dacia Sandero, Duster and Peugeot 2008 follow, while the Kia Picanto, Citroen C3, Opel Mokka, Toyota Yaris and Renault Captur also make their way into the Top 10.
