Hennepin County prosecutors on Wednesday charged a Minnesota state senator with seeking sex from someone he believed was a minor.
Sen. Justin Eichorn, R-Grand Rapids, thought he was meeting with a 16-year-old girl who turned out to be a city police detective, according to the Bloomington Police Department.
Bloomington police said a detective arranged to meet with Eichorn at the 8300 block of Normandale Avenue on Monday evening.
