
Luxembourg February 2025: Opel (+160.9%) stuns in negative market
Opel sales shoot up 160.9% year-on-year in February
New car sales in Luxembourg recede -4.1% year-on-year in February to 4,111 units, leading to a year-to-date tally now in negative at -1.1% and 7,831. After being knocked down to #3 in January, Volkswagen (-9.8%) reclaims the brands top spot both for the month and year-to-date. Last month’s leader BMW (-14.7%) is in trouble while Mercedes (+4.4%) progresses at #3. Audi (-7.2%) completes a Top 4 identical to the Full Year 2024 order. Ford (+53%), Kia (+51.3%), Peugeot (+31%) and Renault (+18.9%) make themselves notice in the remainder of the Top 10 while just outside, Opel (+160.9%) shoots up. Citroen (+62.1%), Cupra (+53.6%) and Fiat (+45.6%) also shine further down. Tesla falls -42.5%
