Celtics list entire starting lineup on injury report ahead of Trail Blazers matchup

The Celtics likely will be missing several of their biggest names when they host the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

Boston listed six players on its latest injury report Tuesday, including its entire starting lineup and its top bench scorer

Jrue Holiday (mallet finger) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) are doubtful for Wednesday’s matchup at TD Garden, indicating both are likely to miss their third consecutive game despite participating in Tuesday’s practice.

Jayson Tatum (right shoulder impingement) and Jaylen Brown (illness) are questionable, and Derrick White (low back contusion) and Payton Pritchard (left hip flexor tightness) are probable.

Pritchard, Tatum and White have been the Celtics’ most durable players this season, missing one, three and three of the team’s 61 games, respectively. Brown has missed 10 games, Holiday 14 and Porzingis 29.

If Holiday can’t go against Portland, it would be his eighth DNP in the last 11 games. Porzingis’ illness has sidelined him for the last two contests and three of the last four. He also dealt with multiple lower leg injuries earlier in the season.

With the Celtics short-staffed, players like Neemias Queta and Torrey Craig saw increased playing time in Sunday’s win over the Denver Nuggets, with Al Horford and Luke Kornet both sliding into the starting five. Sam Hauser logged 38 or more minutes in two of the last four games. If Tatum and/or Brown join the inactive list Wednesday, deep reserves like Jordan Walsh, Baylor Scheierman and Drew Peterson could move into head coach Joe Mazzulla’s rotation.

The Celtics also added another depth piece this week in Miles Norris, who filled one of the team’s three two-way contract slots along with Peterson and JD Davison.

Mazzulla said after Tuesday’s practice that he’ll aim to strike a balance between winning games and keeping his players fresh and healthy for the playoffs as the regular season winds down.

“The most important thing is winning,” the coach said, “and the second most important thing is making sure our guys are healthy. So to me, it’s how do we put ourselves in position to win every night? And I think our guys know the ownership of that, regardless of who’s in, who’s out, there’s an expectation to deliver and there’s an expectation to win and we want to continue to do that. And there’s things we can continue to get better at on both ends of the floor as far as our execution and continuing to work on that, and at the same time making sure we’re feeling good and ready to go for the future.”
