Hyundai sales almost double year-on-year in January

Sales of light vehicles in Morocco jump +24.1% year-on-year in January to 14,997 units. This includes 13,139 passenger cars (+18.7%) and 1,858 light commercials (+84%). In the passenger car brands ranking, Dacia (-32.2%) has a mediocre month and falls to 19.5% share whereas Renault (+50.6%) excels at 17.4%. Hyundai (+96%) does even better in third place with 15.6% of the market vs. 7.6% over the Full Year 2024. Peugeot (+258.4%) is up spectacularly on a particularly weak year-ago result, while Seat (+84.9%), Kia (+40.2%), Volkswagen (+33.4%), Citroen (+32.1%) and Toyota (+26.7%) all shine.
