SVA receives grant to buy hygiene supplies and diapers
Southern Valley Alliance (SVA) is the recipient of a Minnesota COVID Food Fund Grant from Hunger Solutions Minnesota. With the grant, SVA was able to purchase hygiene supplies and diapers to distribute to victims of domestic violence in Scott and Carver counties.
“We are so thankful to have received this grant from Hunger Solutions,” stated SVA Executive Director Christie Larson, in a press release. “Many of our clients are struggling financially, and this year has been particularly difficult for them. Being able to provide them with hygiene products and diapers helps ease a little of their financial burden.”
SVA collects new personal care, household products and diapers year-round to be able to distribute to their clients. To donate, connect with Southern Valley at www.svamn.org or by calling 952-873-4214.
SVA is a nonprofit organization that provides services and support for victims of domestic violence in Scott and Carver counties. Last year, SVA provided services for 1,587 victim-survivors within the community.
