Frost sign Charlotte Akervik, place Natalie Buchbinder on long-term IR
The Frost on Thursday said they have signed defender Charlotte Akervik to a standard player agreement contract.
The move coincides with the club’s decision to place blue liner Natalie Buchbinder on long-term injured reserve with an upper body injury.
Akervik, 23, began the season on the Frost’s reserve player list. This is the second time the former Minnesota State Mankato player has been signed to an SPA. She will travel with the Frost for next Tuesday’s game at Toronto.
