Gophers lineman Martes Lewis heads to transfer portal
Gophers offensive lineman Martes Lewis plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, a source confirmed to the Pioneer Press on Tuesday.
The senior from Merrillville, Ind., played 39 games at the U, including three starts during the 2024 season. However, the 6-foot-7, 335-pound tackle/guard couldn’t hold his spot during the middle of the season.
The U has had 13 players exit via the portal during and after the 2024 season, but has added three transfers.
